The butterfly is seen from directly above, with its wings spread wide and filling most of the page. Its left and right halves mirror each other perfectly. Down the center runs its body: a small round head, an oval-shaped chest, and a long, slender tail that tapers to a point and is marked with a few thin bands. Two long, thin antennae curve upward and outward from its head, each ending in a small oval knob. The upper wings are large and wide, with softly pointed outer corners, like the sails of a ship.
