Floral Easter Egg Coloring Page

Where many egg designs scatter small patterns across the shell, this floral Easter egg is dominated by one magnificent bloom that opens from its center and nearly fills the whole egg. With its fresh flowers and leaves, it is a natural fit among spring coloring pages.

The design sits inside a thick, upright egg-shaped outline in the middle of the page. Unlike a traditional mandala, it is not the same in every direction. The left and right halves mirror each other perfectly, but the top and bottom are decorated differently, much like a hand-painted egg. At the very center is a small circle inside a slightly larger ring, like a target. Around it opens a flower with eight rounded petals, each marked with a single short line running from its tip toward the center. Surrounding this inner flower is a second, much larger layer of eight petals. These are the design's most striking feature. Each one is drawn with two or three nested outlines, like cups stacked inside one another or ripples spreading in water. This gives the bloom a thick, cushioned, almost three-dimensional look. Several of the outer petals, at the top and sides, carry a small curved stroke near their tips, like a glint of light on a glossy surface.

Tucked into the gaps between the big petals are clusters of small rounded bumps, like bunches of berries, each with a single ring nestled among them.

Leaves frame the flower above and below. At the top, a single upright leaf with V-shaped veins points toward the egg’s narrow tip. At the bottom, a matching leaf points downward. Its central vein runs straight to the bottom edge of the egg, forming a stem. In the lower left and lower right, two more leaves spread outward, decorated with parallel stripes like the ribs of a fan. Along the left and right edges of the egg, small triangular wedges fill the leftover spaces, similar to the pattern on folk-art pottery. Near the bottom of the egg, a row of three small rings curves along each side of the lower leaf, like a string of beads.
