Stag at the Window – Winter Coloring Page for Adults
Snow falls without a sound, a candle flickers on the sill, and just beyond the glass, a stag has stepped out of the forest to look in. Every pane of this winter coloring page for adults holds its own small snowy scene, and together they form one quiet, magical night.
The picture is seen from inside a warm room, looking out through a tall double window. Its two halves are divided into twelve panes, three rows of four, and two small handles sit side by side where the halves meet. Frost creeps around the edges of every pane, forming soft, irregular borders, and small icicles hang from the top edge of the glass like drips of melted wax. Long curtains frame the window on both sides, gathered and tied back near the bottom. In the top row of panes, the night sky is full of falling snowflakes and four-pointed stars. A round full moon glows in the third pane from the left.

In the middle row, a snowy forest fills the view. Tall fir trees stand heavy with clumps of snow on their branches, and gentle hills roll into the distance. In the second pane from the left, a stag stands tall, its head turned to the right, crowned with wide, branching antlers. Its body continues behind the window frame into the neighboring pane, and its slender legs appear in the pane below, planted in the deep snow.
On the windowsill, a cozy holiday display sits in front of the glass. On the left are a potted fir branch, a small poinsettia in a pot and two glowing candles in glass holders. On the right, a mug of hot cocoa topped with froth sits beside a large poinsettia in full bloom. Pinecones are scattered along the sill between them.
The many panes, snowy branches and detailed windowsill make this a rich, absorbing project for an evening with a warm drink and a good set of colored pencils. It belongs among cozy winter coloring pages, and the poinsettias on the sill make it a lovely choice for the holidays too.
